Pacers head to the U.S.

The Pacers Track Club hope to bring home the gold at this year's Russell E. Blunt/East Coast Invitational Track Meet, their 24th attendance at the event.
Thirty-three young athletes will attend the meet at Duke University in North Carolina, which attracts 2500 athletes.
The group will participate in 76 individual events and six relays during the five day event, which begins on July 21. Last year, the club placed third overall and won twenty medals.
Leading this year's athletes are: Harold Houston, Aaron Evans, Matthew Spring, Kijuan Wilkinson, Eulannae Douglas, Jessica Richardson, Nandi Woods, Allison Outerbridge, Taylor Ashley Bean and Latroya Darrell, who have participated in the CAC and Carifta Games.
Latroya Darrell will be participating in her final appearance at Russell E. Blunt Track Meet in the 17-18 girls high jump and triple jump.
Others include Kijuan Wilkinson in the 17-18 boys high and triple jump, Aaron Evans in the 15-16 boys 800 and 1500 metres, Harold Houston in the same age group in the 100 and 200 metres and Trey Simons in the 1500 and 3000 metres. Kalay Hollis, Aaliyah Nolan, Jordan Bascome, Tajhun Gibbons, and Jaquan Burrows will all be competing in the meet for the first time in the 9-10 age group.
The youngest member of the group is Chiesa Tweed who will compete in the 8 and under girls 100 metres, 400 metres and long jump. The group will be accompanied by coaches Jay Tucker, Jarita Dill, four executive members and several family and friends.
