FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 11: Three former post office workers were today charged with plotting to smuggle drugs.

Hopde Burrows, 31, Michaelia Selvin, 27, and Anthony Rogers, 59, are accused of conspiring in Bermuda and elsewhere to import cannabis into Bermuda with other persons unknown between dates unknown and February 19, 2010.

Mr. Rogers was also charged with fraudulently retaining a postal package, a Fisher Price cradle and swing set on February 19.

Mr. Burrows, of St. George’s, is represented by Rick Woolridge, Ms Selvin, of Pembroke, is represented by Charles Richardson and Mr. Rogers, of Hamilton Parish, is unrepresented.

They deny the charges and the matter was adjourned until May.

The defendants were released on $10,000 bail each and are required to surrender their travel documents and report to the Hamilton Police Station every Monday.
